My name is Jeffrey M. Arndt and I am owner/inspector of Adirondack Home Inspection Services, proudly serving the residents of the Albany Capital Region. My family has deep roots in the Capital Region, from Irish ancestors who helped build the Erie Canal, German ancestors who had a farm in Washington County, to Polish and French Canadian’s who worked in the Harmony Mills.
I earned my New York State home inspector education from Certified Adult Training Services (C.A.T.S). I am a New York State licensed home inspector and a member of the International Association of Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors is the world's largest and most highly respected non-profit inspection association. I adhere to the New York State Home Inspector Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
With ten years of home renovation experience as a real estate investor, contractor, and five years as a licensed real estate agent, my background has provided me with a unique and comprehensive insight into all aspects of the home buying process. I also have 15 years’ experience in renovating older homes such as Victorian era, 1920s and mid-century modern homes.
I pride myself on being as clear and concise in my home reporting and to help manage my client’s expectations of the home inspection process. Explaining the breadth and limitations of a home inspection will help you have realistic expectations of what to expect from a home inspection report, and what lies outside the scope of the reporting process. I am always pleased to have you follow me around and answer any questions you may have.
My goal is to provide the highest quality home inspections reports with "Care and Integrity" for the Albany Capital Region. Should you choose my services I will guarantee you that I will provide you with my very best effort.
